REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR EXTERNAL AUDIT SERVICES

The Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC) is a permanent institution which was established since 1950s.
TEC is the Assembly  of Catholic Bishops of Tanzania whereby according to the norms of law, certain
pastoral functions are jointly exercised on behalf of Christ's faithful in view of promoting that greater good
which the Church offers to all people especially through forms and programs of the apostolate which are
fittingly adapted to the circumstances of our time and country.

TEC desires to receive proposals for the selection of an independent certified public accounting firm to
provide financial and compliance auditing services for a period of up to two fiscal years in accordance with
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other relevant regulations. The period of award of
this agreement is two years and shall commence with an audit of the TEC's financial statements for the fiscal
year ending June 30, 2017 and will include fiscal year ending June 30, 2019. An audit engagement letter and
supporting documentation will be offered between the auditing agency and the TEC at the beginning of work
for each fiscal year being audited. The TEC reserves the right to terminate this agreement for any reason,
upon notification to the auditing firm.

The auditor responsibilities shall include the following: 1) Conducting independent audit of TEC activities/operations in line with International Standards on
Auditing and International Financial Reporting Standards. 2) Expressing opinion on whether the financial statements are prepared, in all material respects in
accordance with the applicable financial reporting standards and frameworks, whether TEC has
maintained proper books of accounts, and whether accompanying financial statements give a true and
fair view of the financial position of the organisation. 3) Reviewing adequacy of TEC internal control systems 4) Providing any other value addition services consistent with the audit of TEC.


The bidding firms will be required to meet the following minimal criteria: 1) Be registered with the National Board of Accountants and Auditors Tanzania (NBAA) and its partners
must hold valid practicing certificates. 2) Have a trading license including TIN and VRN numbers 3) Have a proven track record in providing timely, cost effective and value added auditing services.

Firms meeting the above criteria are requested to submit their proposals in two sealed envelopes as
follows: a) Technical Proposal containing; 1) Confirmation of the Firm's understanding of the Terms of Reference and its capacity and capability
to deliver on the TOR' 2) The methodology, work-plan and timelines for undertaking and completing the assignment, and
deliverables. 3) Appropriate references to demonstrate having the experience specified in TOR 4) The CVs of key staff proposed to do the assignment.

b) Financial proposal indicating the proposed fees.

Proposal Submission
Proposal document clearly marked "Proposal for Audit of TEC Financial Statements" must be delivered to
the following address on or before 15.30p.m local time, Friday , May  26, 2017. 
Kindly note that any late delivery of proposal shall not be considered whatever the circumstances.

Na Charles Rwehumbiza UINJILISHAJI BAGAMOYO NA TANZANIA KWA UJUMLA Kutokea Bagamoyo, wamisionari wa Shirika la Roho Mtakatifu waliweza kuendelea kuinjilisha sehemu mbalimbali za Tanzania kama vile Mhonda (Morogoro), Mandera (Morogoro), Kilema Kibosho (Moshi) na Kondoa, n.k. Kutokana na ugumu wa watu wa Bagamoyo kukubali Injili na uamuzi wa wamisionari wenye asili ya Uholanzi kuhamia Morogoro mjini.  Bagamoyo iliachwa kwa kipindi kirefu bila huduma za mapadri au wakiwa wanapata  huduma ya Misa Takatifu  mara moja kwa mwezi. Ibada hii inauona Moyo wa Kibinadamu wa Yesu kama mwakilishi wa Mapendo yake ya Kimungu kwa wanadamu , na Kanisa nayo inaiona kama Mapendo na Huruma ya Yesu kwa wanadamu wote. Ibada ya Moyo Mtakatifu wa Yesu imefikia hatua hii tunayoishuhudia leo kutokana na maelekezo ya Mtakatifu Margareta Maria Alakok aliyejifunza uendelezaji wake wakati alipokuwa anatokewa na Yesu kwa mfululizo kati ya mwaka 1673 na mwaka 1675.
