NATIONAL COORDINATOR FOR GENDER, YOUTH AND CHILDREN
The Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC) as a permanent institution is the assembly of the Bishops of Tanzania whereby according to the norm of law, certain pastoral functions are jointly exercised on behalf of Christ’s faithful in view of promoting the greater good which the Church offers to all people especially through forms and programs of her apostolate which are fittingly adapted to circumstances of our time and country.
The position is accountable for the overall development and implementation of quality gender, youth and children programs, in compliance with the TEC requirements and the Caritas strategy. The coordinator will lead program design including proposal development and ensure the objectives of the programs are met in a timely manner, and are being monitored and evaluated effectively.
Qualifications
Bachelor‘s Degree in Social Sciences. A Master’s degree in Gender Equality or related field from a recognised University would be an added advantage.
Experience and related attributes
·         5 years experience working in an international agency or across countries

Duties and Responsibilities:
  •  Advises the dioceses / Head of Caritas on appropriate strategies and steps for addressing gender inequalities in their development and disaster management;
  • Develops a gender mainstreaming programme to support dioceses in mainstreaming gender in their activities and ensures the programme is delivered according to plan;
  • Monitors the promotion of gender equity and equality in the society and advises accordingly;
  • Develops programmes to address youth and children issues according to the needs of the dioceses;
  • Develops capacity building programmes for the dioceses according to the needs of the dioceses;
  • Advices the Head of Caritas Department on matters related to gender, youth and children;
  • Prepares plans, budgets and reports related to the section;
  • Supports dioceses in developing and reviewing development projects/programs;
  • Facilitates sharing of experiences among dioceses through organizing fora and exposure programmes;
  • Supports dioceses in capacity building in promoting gender equity and equality;
  • Promotes and advocates for gender equity and equality as well as children rights at National, Regional and International level;
  • Links the dioceses with potential donors and other stakeholders;
  • Oversees the work carried out by Caritas Msimbazi and reports to the Head of Department and other executives of Caritas Tanzania;
  • Represents  Caritas Tanzania in forum on gender and children issues whenever required;
  • Supports dioceses in mobilizing resources for Gender and children related programmes.

Na Charles Rwehumbiza UINJILISHAJI BAGAMOYO NA TANZANIA KWA UJUMLA Kutokea Bagamoyo, wamisionari wa Shirika la Roho Mtakatifu waliweza kuendelea kuinjilisha sehemu mbalimbali za Tanzania kama vile Mhonda (Morogoro), Mandera (Morogoro), Kilema Kibosho (Moshi) na Kondoa, n.k. Kutokana na ugumu wa watu wa Bagamoyo kukubali Injili na uamuzi wa wamisionari wenye asili ya Uholanzi kuhamia Morogoro mjini.  Bagamoyo iliachwa kwa kipindi kirefu bila huduma za mapadri au wakiwa wanapata  huduma ya Misa Takatifu  mara moja kwa mwezi.   Na Philip Komba Utangulizi:   Ibada ya Moyo Mtakatifu wa Yesu ni moja ya ibada zinazojulikana sana katika Kanisa Katoliki. Ibada hii inauona Moyo wa Kibinadamu wa Yesu kama mwakilishi wa Mapendo yake ya Kimungu kwa wanadamu , na Kanisa nayo inaiona kama Mapendo na Huruma ya Yesu kwa wanadamu wote. Ibada ya Moyo Mtakatifu wa Yesu imefikia hatua hii tunayoishuhudia leo kutokana na maelekezo ya Mtakatifu Margareta Maria Alakok aliyejifunza uendelezaji wake wakati alipokuwa anatokewa na Yesu kwa mfululizo kati ya mwaka 1673 na mwaka 1675.
